In the flow, Lakshmi asked Prabhas why he looks shy while doing romantic scenes.

Prabhas replied, “That must be because of my brought up. Unknowingly I may feel uncomfortable while acting in intimate scenes with heroines”.

Then Laxmi asked, “Aren’t there any romantic scenes with Kangna Ranaut in Puri’s Ek Niranjan?”

Prabhas replied, “If Kangna is there as heroine it doesn’t mean that there should be romantic scenes”.

Laxmi said, “Oh no, you should make use of Kangna Ranaut and establish romance on screen. You have huge female following and down the line you have to do many films those require acting in romantic scenes as well. I’ll direct your next romantic scene”.

Then Prabhas replied, “I’m struggling to act with heroine itself. If there is a lady director, my troubles will be multiplied”.

“No I’ll be there to break that jinx”, replied Laxmi Prasanna.

For Sneha Ullal who is considered a 'clone' of Aishwarya Rai, Bollywood is no more a viable choice and Tollywood is "home". The 23-year-old Ullal who is three-films-old here claims that it is the Telugu film industry that taught her everything she knows about showbiz.

"I was born in Muscat and my lifestyle is different from the one here. I learnt a lot from Tollywood. I like the way this industry works, the people are warm. Moreover, the roles are encouraging. So, I am doing more films here than elsewhere," says Sneha, who also has Kannada and Hindi films in her kitty.

Talking about the big, bad world of Bollywood, she says, "To survive in Bollywood, you need to be a lot more shrewd, smart and cold. I was just 17 when I did my first movie there. It was Tollywood that gave me a chance to prove that I can act."

Sneha is also ready to set shop here and camp in Hyderabad from now on. "I'm planning to buy a house and settle down here. It will be convenient for filmmakers too since it will save them the trouble of flying me down from Mumbai every time," she says.
She may be a current favourite, thanks to the fair skin and light-eyed fixation the industry has. But, acting has never been the forte of Ullal who is often brushed off as a expressionless "glam doll". "Yes, I have to improve on my dance, dubbing and emotional scenes," she admits. "But if someone calls me a glam doll, I'd take it as a compliment," says Sneha in her defence.

The actress also adds that she is looking for roles that are "hatke". "I've realised that my roles are getting monotonous. I have only been playing the bubbly girl, probably because of my looks. I need to meet more filmmakers to bag different roles. I'd love to play a murderer or act in horror movies," quips Sneha who admits that being an Aishwarya look-alike actually helped her at the beginning of her career.

"It did generate a lot of curiosity about me and people sat up and took notice. But it soon got tiring. I didn't like being compared with Aishwarya always. She is a senior actress and I have just started my career. When they compare me with her, there are always more expectations. Looks can just get you a role, but you have to know how to act," she says.

Doing a bikini scene, too, would be difficult with Kamal around, she admitted. “I’m okay with wearing a bikini onscreen or showing a little skin. I don’t know why a great deal is made out of the bikini! All those who have worn it till date, have looked good, and if you have a great body — then why not,” she said, “but... my dad shouldn’t be in the same film!”

Her debut film apart, Shruti’s busy composing the music for her home production, a remake of A Wednesday in Telugu and Tamil with Kamal playing the lead. “You can imagine how nervous I am as both the films will release within a gap of a few days. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Composing music was a different experience altogether and it was challenging working with dad,” she said.

There was a time when skin show and exposure of assets was a thing meant for the screen only but these days, it appears that it has become the USP for all the heroines ranging from the big league to the debutantes.

The most common feature that is being noticed by many during the film functions is that heroines have been coming in with a generous show of their thighs, cleavages, bare backs etc. The list ranges from someone as graceful as Tabu to the latest entrants like Suhani, Swetha Basu Prasad, Aksha etc. While this might look as a glamour thing as per the heroines, many say that it looks a bit too revealing and sometimes a bit embarrassing for them.

However, the one section that is said to be having a feast about it is the photographers who are said to be burning out memory sticks and coming up with many pictures. Apparently, they sell these pictures to various media and make some money. But then, it is being said that this culture of thigh show and revealing attires is something that was not part of the Telugu circuit before.

Incidentally, there are families that attend such events and they are heard saying that heroines dressed like that are sending wrong signals. As it is, the film industry has always been looked at with a skeptical eye when it comes to heroines and their exposing. Only time will tell if there will be a curb on this thigh show or would it go to something even more revealing and revolutionary.
