When the 20-year-old model-turned-actress Catherine auditioned for Kannada ‘Pokiri’, she was turned down by director. Not because she couldn’t act, but for her figure. “He told me I was too thin for the film, which surprised me because Ileana, who plays the heroine in the original, is the same size as me,” says an amused Catherine.So, Catherine decided to head for the industry in which Ileana herself made it big and is now making her debut in a Telugu film. “It’s an untitled film directed by Radha Krishna, who made the blockbuster hit, Gamyam, It’s a multi-starrer with Allu Arjun, Anushka Shetty and Manoj,” she reveals, adding that she’s shooting for the film till September.
