The Nasik police have registered a case against Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai. The police case was field in connection with the transfer of land by Aishwarya Rai to a company Suzlon. Aishwarya purchased the land and then transferred the same to the company in violation of the rules.The police acted based on a complaint made by Anand Lala Thakre of Dandhane village in Nasik district. The police also field a case against the company chairman Tulasi Bhai.
The land has been acquired by the company for setting up a wind based power plant. Aishwarya Rai is a partner in the firm.
